Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Coverage
There's a GAP in your vehicle insurance that could cost you thousands. This is a relatively new phenomenon and is actually caused by fierce competition. With more offers of low-down or no-down payments when buying or leasing a vehicle, you have little or no initial equity in the vehicle. After the vehicle is purchased, the value decreases substantially. Unfortunately, the vehicle's value may be less than what you owe on your loan. Hence the "gap."

  • Preferred Automobile Customer (PAC) Discount: Being continuously insured is rewarded. Three - five years receives a 10% discount, AND, 6 or more years receives 15% discount. In addition to the discounts available with PAC, financially responsible insureds can receive even more benefits with up to 20% of additional discounts available.

  • Ticket-Free Discount: Not having been convicted of any moving violations in the prior 36 months is rewarded by a 15% discount on specified coverages.

  • Comprehensive Claim Free Discount: Not having a comprehensive coverage claim in the prior 3-5 years is rewarded by a 15% discount or 6 or more years is worth a 30% discount.
